Purpose
Forests, when sustainably managed, make important contributions both to people and to the planet, supporting livelihoods, providing clean air and water, conserving biodiversity. Sustainable forest management and Best Management Practices (BMPs) are proven, common sense measures, methods and practices which enhance the economic, social and environmental values of forests, for the benefit of present and future generations. In this webinar Drs. Jay Shelton and Puneet Dwivedi will discuss the science behind sustainable forest management and BMPs and explore the ways in which they are critical to good forestry management in Georgia.
Who Will Benefit?
Private and state foresters, loggers, mill managers, sustainability managers, non-profits, and members of forestry associations will benefit from this course.
